Life in this fallen world can be fraught with difficulty. Unfortunately, none of us can escape disappointment and heartache on this side of heaven. Often, seasons of struggle can produce isolation. Our undesirable circumstances convince us we are alone. Our present afflictions can cause us to question the goodness and provision of our Heavenly Father. Which leads us to ask: God, do you see me? Do you care? Where are you, Lord? The truth is, He is near. He is right there with you in all the hurt, all the confusion. He SEES you. He has not left you alone. Further, there are others, just like you, hidden behind smiling faces or closed doors, who are struggling with doubt, difficulty, and desperation. When we are willing to authentically share our burdens with others, we can discover empathy and companionship as we traverse down the road of suffering one small step at a time. With the help of our Lord and those He has placed in our path, we can cross the chasm of heartache to hope.
